Hello my fellow goddess girlfish,
I’ve been living in a “water bubble” for the past few weeks. There’s nothing like a few “shipwrecks” in life to put things into perspective. My blogging keeps me sane, so I know it’s important to continue writing even though things are tough. I’m sure it’s different for everyone. Some people write on their blogs about how it’s best for them to stop blogging for awhile & focus on things of more importance. I can understand that, but for me my blogging is my therapy. One other thing in therapy that you learn is, in order to keep from slipping deeper into your depression you have to keep/ hold yourself accountable each day. It’s very difficult to do, almost impossible when you’re depressed (I know from experience). I don’t want to get out of bed, much less write a blog post. I’ll write more on this @ a later time. But for now, I’m linking up to Mamakatslosinit for her weekly writing prompt:
Show us your Kitchen…
It’s not your eyes playing tricks on you. I am missing a chair. I have six, but for some reason it isn’t in the picture. I think one of my kiddos snuck it out of the room that day.
Thank you Kathy (mamakatslosinit) for encouraging me to participate in your linky party. You don’t realize the influence you have on me. Thank you, my friend. What would I do without my bloggy buddies? It’s something that I needed & sometimes it’s easier to do when someone does the initial thinking (blog post idea) for you.
The gent’s career is in entertainment, & if you know anything about that type of lifestyle you know that it’s sometimes/ constantly fickle. Not knowing where the gent’s next full-time job will be, convinced us to sell our home & then rent while we wait for his agent to get him his next gig. I must say, I’m grateful we are settled into our rental. I say settled, but that’s probably not the best word choice. Are “we” ever really settled? I have come to the conclusion that “being settled” is most definitely a state of mind & not a physical thing. Just when you think to yourself, “I’m settled” you get thrown into a state of instability.
Would you say it’s hard to make a rental look or feel like home? I’m sure many find that to be a dilemma. Here’s a picture of my kitchen. The box on the left of the stove is where I put those odd items that somehow get piled up on the counter throughout the day. If you have little guppies, & you live in a small space you know what I’m talking about. {papers, bills, hair ties, paper clips, etc.etc…you name it…} You catch my drift, right?

I love this!
Thanks Deana… That’s sweet of you to say.
